The story of Sola fe ranch

Colby Stephens, founder and native Texan, has over 28 years in the deer industry. Sola Fe Ranch, is now a family run business, and is headquartered in Lockhart, TX. Along with providing game capture and consulting services, we run top quality fallow and exotic herds.

We currently raise Fallow, Sable, Kudu, Bongo, Gemsbok, Impala, Dama Gazelle, Scimitar Horned Oryx AND blackbuck. Colby has worked a lifetime to build relationships and acquire world class genetics in all of our herds. We are especially proud of our Fallow Deer. We have an 18 pen breeding facility that allows us to strictly control the bucks on our does and we consistently produce gold medal fallow bucks.

Sola Fe Ranch LLC is owned by Colby and Erin Stephens. We have tHREE sons and a daughter. Colby does most of the work around here, but I (Erin) homeschool, attempt to run the house, and chase after Colby to do his books.

We selected the name Sola Fe Ranch for our business because we are committed to honoring God in our stewardship of our land and our animals. We want to contribute to the industry of hunting and game preservation so our children can continue to experience and learn about God through His creation!
